I Googled the meaning of my name (Ken, Kenny, Kenneth) and up popped “creative, imaginative and artistic.” Given my passions in life and the profession that I chose, this was not at all surprising to me.

An appreciator of all things pleasing (and teasing) to the eye, I like to create words and images that tell stories and capture emotions. Which is why I fell in love with advertising, writing, photography and design.

I’m also adventurous. I relish newness and uniqueness. I actively participate in the journey from A to B. Then onward to C and D. That said, I’m not opposed to revisiting a previously traveled road to see if there is anything that I missed.

And so, I chose the comma as my icon because it represents transition. Like the written commas that provide continuity between phrases, so do the commas of my career path – a passage from writer to editor to content manager to stylist to stager. While periods are final, commas are fluid. They are soft stops that allow me to pause and reflect on where I’ve been and where I’d like to go.
